CareCo UK Ltd achieves Disability Confident Leader accreditation with support from the Get Set for Work programme.
CareCo UK Ltd joined the Get Set for Work programme with a clear goal: to take their commitment to inclusivity even further by becoming a Disability Confident employer. They were already making great strides, partnering with ECL job clubs and hiring neurodiverse individuals, but wanted to formalise their approach and create even more opportunities.
Recognising the opportunity to formalise their commitment, Louis Gilson, Recruitment Manager and Jane Bunting, Head of HR from CareCo UK Ltd, worked with Amy McManus, Get Set for Work Employer Consultant, to guide them on their Disability Confident journey to meet the requirements to progress through the tiers of the scheme. Through regular meetings, collaborative planning, and a shared passion for inclusivity, they worked through the scheme’s requirements, focusing on accessible recruitment and ensuring employees with disabilities or long-term health conditions receive the right support.
To strengthen their knowledge, Louis and Jane attended specialist training by The Better Health Generation, gaining valuable insights into supporting neurodiverse employees and embedding an inclusive workplace culture.
Through their dedication and commitment, CareCo UK Ltd successfully achieved Tier 3 Disability Confident Leader status. This recognition highlights their dedication and sets them apart as a business that champions equal opportunities. But they’re not stopping here; they’re continuing to build on this success, ensuring their workplace remains welcoming, supportive, and inclusive for all.
Their journey is a brilliant example of how the Get Set for Work programme can support businesses in creating sustainable, inclusive workplaces that benefit both employers and employees.
