Get Set for Career Support is a new service delivered by Get Set UK on behalf of the Ministry of Justice (MoJ). Our inclusive careers service is part of a coordinated approach providing prisons in London and the East of England with Careers Information, Advice and Guidance (CIAG) to reduce reoffending, with a dedicated focus on helping individuals reintegrate into society.

Support to build skills, confidence, and careers.

CIAG Advisors support prisoners in developing a personalised Education, Skills and Work pathway, helping them gain qualifications, build valuable skills, and gain work experience. This tailored support prepares individuals for a successful future and sustainable employment upon release.

Getting career ready.

As part of the Get Set for Career Support programme, prisoners have the chance to meet employers, learn about different jobs, and explore the skills and training needed for work after release. Working with local and national employers gives individuals the opportunity to:

✔ Hear directly from businesses about what jobs are available.
✔ Get advice on the skills they need and how to apply for roles.
✔ Ask questions and get support to help them start a new career.

These opportunities will help prisoners build their confidence, understand the world of work, and take steps towards finding a job that’s right for them.
