Hafiz’s success story.

After a serious leg injury left him out of work and low on confidence, Hafiz Rizwan, 31, faced a major challenge: returning to employment. But with determination and the right support, he made a remarkable comeback.

Through the Work & Health Programme Pioneer, which Get Set UK deliver on behalf of our partner Maximus UK, Hafiz worked closely with his Employment Advisor, Adnan Shabbir, to rebuild his CV, strengthen his interview skills, and develop effective job search strategies.

Enrolling Hafiz on a barbering programme, rediscovered his passion for the grooming industry, and most importantly, his confidence. The hands-on experience and essential skills reignited his passion for the grooming industry and helped him rebuild his self-belief.

Hafiz has now secured employment, is financially independent, and is pursuing a career he truly enjoys. But he’s not stopping there, he plans to continue developing his craft and dreams of one day opening his own barbershop, creating a space where clients feel welcomed, valued, and confident.
