Thomas Harley, CEO
Get Set UK was Thomas’s vision back in 2009. After navigating life-changing heart surgery at 18, recovery on a sickness benefit and the fragile nature of confidence and self-worth, led him to form a business designed to help support and guide people with similar challenges.
Thomas is a dedicated husband and father to three young boys, who are his constant source of joy and inspiration.

Jaies Morjaria, COO
Jaies has over 15 years senior management expertise in the People Services arena and over the past 5 years has helped to transform Get Set UK into a national provider. His focus has been on building ambitious and results-driven teams, underpinned by providing exceptional service to learners and participants.
Jaies’s passion is developing those around him and transforming communities he works within. In his personal life, Jaies is family-orientated, as a father of two young boys who keep him grounded and on his toes.

Cat Steel, Corporate Development Director
Over the past 3 years, Cat’s focus has been on supporting Get Set UK growth and developing our standards and processes, including ISO and other industry-recognised accreditations. Cat has spent 25 years in private, public and third-sector organisations, and driven significant high-value contract wins.
Cat’s hobbies include American cars, chocolate making and long walks with her dog, Fred.

Abi McDonald, Business Development Director
Abi is responsible for developing and implementing Get Set UK’s business growth strategy. She has worked in the sector for over 20 years in a variety of operational and business development roles and, before joining Get Set UK in 2023, worked for Reed in Partnership and Ingeus.
Abi lives in the Wye Valley with her partner and daughter where they keep chickens and run a small glamping site.

Barbara Veeramallay-Permaul, Quality & Compliance Director
With a rich background spanning over two and a half decades in the skills, education and employability sectors, Barbara is a well-versed leader known for enhancing the quality and delivery of educational services. Her focus is on raising and maintaining the high standards that Get Set UK’s commissioners, partners and customers have come to expect.

Suzanne Tilling, MD Education Division
Suzanne has worked in the adult training sector for 25+ years. With a background in management consultancy and training for many blue-chip companies, Suzanne has spent the last 18 years at TheLightBulb, the former education and training arm of Get Set UK.
Suzanne is a founding committee member of the Essex Provider Network and is currently vice chair, supporting integrated working in FE across the county.
