Get Set for Work programme supports Global Marine Group in achieving Disability Confident Leader accreditation. 

When Global Marine Group first connected with Amy McManus, Get Set for Work Employer Consultant, they were eager to explore how they could create a more accessible and supportive environment for disabled employees. Having no prior experience with the Disability Confident Scheme, Amy supported them with expert guidance and access to fully funded training. 

Through regular meetings, tailored advice, and hands-on resources, they didn’t just tick boxes; they transformed their hiring practices and workplace culture. Step by step, they climbed all three tiers of the scheme, embedding inclusivity at the heart of their business, strengthening their inclusive hiring practices and workplace culture along the way. 

A real driving force in this journey was Sarita Karim, whose passion for recruiting and supporting disabled individuals made all the difference. By embracing the training and working closely with Amy, she helped ensure that Global Marine Group didn’t just achieve accreditation, they truly lived and breathed it. 

Now, having achieved the highest level, Disability Confident Leader, Global Marine Group is leading the way, showing other businesses that an inclusive workforce isn’t just possible, it’s a huge asset. Their story is a powerful reminder of what’s achievable with commitment, collaboration, and the right support.
