Muhammad’s success story.

After arriving in the UK as an asylum seeker and moving between hotels, Muhammad Younis joined our REP programme with limited experience of life here. Muhammad’s REP Case Manager, Sharafat Ullah, immediately enrolled him in our ESOL classes and worked with him to understand his needs to create a personalised support plan, create a CV and help him prepare for interviews and mock interview scenarios.

“I am thrilled to share my experience with the Refugee Employability Programme. After fleeing conflict in Iraq, I faced numerous challenges in adapting to my new life in the UK. However, with the unwavering support of Get Set UK from the very beginning, I have achieved meaningful employment.

This programme has provided me with personalised career coaching, CV tips, interview preparation, ESOL training, and access to job placements. The guidance and mentorship I received from my dedicated career coach was invaluable, giving me the tools and confidence to pursue my career goals.
