We are pleased to announce a new multi-million-pound contract win to deliver Careers Information Advice and Guidance (CIAG) across London and East of England prisons.
Awarded by the Ministry of Justice (MoJ), this four-year contract, commencing April 2025, is our first step towards supporting prisoners through our multi-disciplined people services offer.
Through the new Prison Careers Information Advice and Guidance programme, we will enable individuals to identify their career goals, access appropriate education and work while in prison and gain employability skills. Get Set UK employer events, hosted in prisons, will provide individuals with a better understanding of the jobs market and exposure to local employers.
Our inclusive careers service will form part of a coordinated approach to reduce reoffending, involving multiple delivery partners. Together, we aim to enable prisoners to attain qualifications, develop skills and gain work experience leading to sustainable employment on release.
Thomas Harley FIEP FRSA, CEO at Get Set UK said:
“Over this four-year contract, we will help thousands of people in prisons across London and the East of England regain their confidence, boost their skills and help guide them towards fulfilling their aspirations. Evidence clearly shows that participating in education reduces reoffending and makes it more likely that people leaving prison will secure a job. And that’s where Get Set UK comes in, with quality career advice that is personalised to the individual’s needs.”
Get Set UK will become the largest CIAG provider across England prisons through this contract award.
