Talentino! Ltd, our SEND Careers guidance provider, has joined forces with the Peter Jones Foundation Tycoon Enterprise Programme to empower young people with additional needs by providing funding to set up their own businesses in educational settings.
Through the Tycoon programme, students receive access to a goodwill loan and take part in a dynamic competition on a Kickstarter-style platform. Each year, the top-performing student businesses from every key stage are invited to a prestigious awards ceremony hosted by Peter Jones CBE.
Today, Jenny Connick FRSA had the honour of presenting the award for the Tycoon Talentino SEND competition, tailored specifically for SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) learners. This year’s top prize went to Skills Centre Plus with their Comm-Unity Hub, with College of West Anglia’s Candle with Care earning a well-deserved runner-up spot.
Enterprise is an incredibly valuable experience, and this award is a fantastic way to celebrate the achievements of young entrepreneurs with additional needs. Congratulations to all the winners and runners-up from today’s event!
