Being out of work for a long period can be challenging and it can have an impact on your health and wellbeing. The Work and Health Programme – Central London Works, funded by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and delivered by Get Set UK on behalf of partners Ingeus , supports people who are managing a long-term health condition, a disability or who have been unemployed for over two years with employment, health and wellbeing support tailored to meet your personal needs and circumstances.

We are here to help you overcome any employment barriers that you are facing that are preventing you from returning to work and support you in developing your skills and improving your confidence. Together we will create an action plan to reach your goals and take steps to make a positive change in your life, health and wellbeing to help you find and stay in work.

Following a referral from your local Jobcentre Plus Work Coach we will guide you through the Work and Health Programme – Central London Works, to help you return to work. If you are unemployed and have claimed benefits for more than two years or are suffering from a long-term health condition or a disability this programme, Get Set UK can help you find a job that’s right for you.

As a participant, you will have a dedicated Employment Advisor who will get to know you and identify your skills, needs and job aspirations, and provide you with the right support to achieve your employment goals. Every path to employment is different and your Employment Advisor will help you maximise your potential by providing advice and support tailored to your individual needs for up to 21 months.

Being unemployed for a prolonged period can be challenging, your dedicated Employment Advisor will guide you through your journey back into work and we will provide the support and training you need to help you find a job.

    • Advice on housing, childcare, debt etc.

What’s the eligibility criteria?

The Local London Work and Health Programme has been designed to support people who live in Westminster and Southwark, are of working age and one of the below:

  • Have a health condition and be long-term unemployed, or fall into one of the early entrant categories.

  • Have a self-declared health condition including physical, or mild to moderate mental health conditions. This includes low mood, lack of motivation, anxiety, depression, dyslexia, ADHD, dyspraxia, autism and other neurodiverse conditions, learning disabilities, mobility disabilities, medical disabilities, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), visual impairments, deaf and hard of hearing, and concussion.

  • Be 18 years old or over and have the right to undertake paid work in the UK.

  • Not currently be under contract, in paid employment or on another ESF-funded programme.
