Central London Work and Health Programme | 26 March 2025
Our Kennington team has been actively supporting participants of the Central London Work & Health Programme, funded by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and delivered by Get Set UK on behalf of partner Ingeus. Aderonke Olafare, with over 20 years of experience in administration and data entry, came to Get Set UK seeking new opportunities after being made redundant.
Her Employment Advisor, Brenda Joseph, recommended a volunteering role with Community TechAid, a charity that refurbishes laptops for people in Southwark and Lambeth. The role matched Aderonke’s skills perfectly and offered the potential for a future permanent position.
We’re delighted to share that Aderonke has secured a voluntary position as a Data Entry Receptionist at Community TechAid. She said: “This volunteering role gives me opportunities to learn and develop my existing skills. It also allows me to update my CV to show that I’m adaptable, have transferable skills, and am ready to work.”
Brenda added: “Aderonke is very excited to start a new role as a volunteer.”
