Get Set for building confidence and a career path with the Work and Health Programme.

Work and Health Programme | 05 June 2025

After four months of unemployment, Sashell Passley, 28, was referred to the Work and Health Programme that we deliver on behalf of our partner, Maximus UK, by Redbridge Jobcentre. With a background in administration and care, Sashell was focused on finding a role in administration, reception, or customer service.

Working closely with her dedicated Employment Advisor, Jennifer Davis, Sashell received tailored one-to-one support to refresh her CV, enhance her job search techniques, and develop her interview skills. Through mock interviews and regular feedback, she gained confidence in using the STAR technique to showcase her experience and strengths. She also received advice on body language, updating her LinkedIn profile, and maintaining motivation after a few setbacks.

Thanks to her persistence and the ongoing support from her advisor, Sashell secured an interview and is now employed in an Administrative Officer role. To support her transition into employment, her advisor arranged pre-employment support, including advice on commuting, arranging an eye test, and planning her working routine. She was also provided with funding for work attire and initial travel costs until her first payday.

Since starting her new role, Sashell has found the work enjoyable, is picking up new skills, and is forming positive relationships with her colleagues and managers. She’s excited about the career development opportunities ahead, and her advisor will continue to offer check-in calls to ensure she stays on track.

Get Set for opportunities.

We are ready to help you take your next step.
