Get Set UK’s REP Case Manager, Zakir Rasheed has been supporting Abdul Ahmadzai and Mohammad Qadar Adin. Originally from Afghanistan, they had to flee their country due to conflict and have faced challenges from living in temporary accommodation to struggling to find employment support.
Zakir helped Abdul create a CV,a cover letter and prepared him for interviews with mock interview scenarios. Abdul’s commitment and efforts combined with support from Zakir helped him successfully secure a position as an Admin Manager at Sahara Care Community Service. Mohammad Qadar Adin needed support to improve his English and boost his confidence. Zakir enrolled him in an ESOL course run by our skills and training arm, TheLightBulb. Mohammad is now well-prepared for his professional life and the ESOL course has been instrumental in improving his language proficiency.
