Get Set for Work | 21 October 2025
Creating an inclusive workplace has always been a priority at Ingleton Wood, and with the help of Amy McManus through the Get Set for Work programme that Get Set UK delivered on behalf of Essex County Council, they have achieved Tier 3 Disability Confident Leader status. This is a proud milestone that reflects the hard work they’ve put into embedding inclusion across their culture, systems, and recruitment processes.
As part of the support provided through the Get Set for Work Programme, Amy worked closely with the team at Ingleton Wood to:
✅ Review and revise their recruitment process to include clear statements about adjustments, accessible job descriptions, and inclusive interview techniques.
✅ Support the development of a workplace adjustments to help employees feel confident requesting any support they may need.
✅ Deliver neurodiversity awareness and inclusive communication training.
✅ Partner with local employment services to support disabled individuals into work.
✅ Guide them through the self-assessment and evidence required to reach Tier 3 of the Disability Confident scheme.
The impact.
By achieving Tier 3 status, Ingleton Wood is now recognised as a Disability Confident Leader. This isn’t just a badge, the accreditation reflects a culture where adjustments are seen as a standard part of working life, managers are more aware, and recruitment actively removes barriers for disabled and neurodivergent individuals. Their efforts are creating sustainable opportunities that will benefit current and future employees, clients, and the wider sector.
