Zac Chambers, aged 22, started a Level 2 Recruitment Resourcer Apprenticeship through the Government website. Unfortunately, halfway through the programme Zac and his employer mutually decided the role wasn’t right for him as he wanted to pursue a career in social media.
Eager to continue an apprenticeship and achieve his qualification Zac reached out to TheLightBulb for support. Working with one of our Learning Development Mentors, Ellis Davis, Zac explained that he had autism and needed things to be explained to him differently and some additional support.
Ellis found a new employer and created a tailored plan that allowed Zac to complete his coursework ahead of schedule and finish his apprenticeship while changing job roles. Zak went on to achieve a Distinction in his Recruitment Resourcer Apprenticeship due to his determination and enthusiasm.
Ellis Davis, Learning and Development Mentor, commented: “Zac has been a fantastic learner to work with from the very start of his Apprenticeship. He always has a positive outlook and is willing to complete any work set for him. It has been a pleasure working with Zac and I am incredibly proud of him and the EPA result he has achieved.”
“I have really enjoyed the Level 2 Recruitment Resourcer Apprenticeship. The Apprenticeship benefitted me in a variety of ways, it helped me improve my confidence and also helped me understand and to have a positive impact on the people I meet. I had a great group of people around me, including Ellis who provided resources to support my understanding of the industry.”
