Get Set for recognising the power of your work with the GH@W Awards programme.

Good Health @Work | 30 October 2025

The Good Health @Work programme (GH@W) helps small and medium-sized businesses across Suffolk embed meaningful workplace wellbeing practices. Funded by Suffolk County Council and delivered by Get Set UK, the GH@W programme supports employers to build happier, healthier workplace while working towards a Bronze, Silver or Gold Award.

Penny Morgan a Suffolk-based photographer specialising in helping people feel confident in front of the camera, often those with low self-esteem or past trauma, her work already placed wellbeing at its heart.

But like so many sole traders, Penny rarely paused to focus on her own wellbeing or visibility. She poured her energy into empowering others, often putting herself last. She wanted structured support to step back, reflect, and see her own value as clearly as she helps others see theirs.

Her Good Health @Work Employer Consultant, Gail Jones, worked closely with Penny to:

✔️ Complete a wellbeing self-assessment to identify her strengths and areas for development.

✔️ Apply the GH@W framework to her business practices, recognising how her work supports mental and emotional health for both her and her clients.

✔️ Introduce structured wellbeing time into her weekly routine to maintain balance and prevent burnout.

✔️ Use GH@W templates and resources to plan and review her wellbeing goals.

✔️ Share her story publicly, building confidence in her own visibility and inspiring other small business owners to prioritise wellbeing.

The results have been transformative. Penny has gained confidence and visibility, proudly showcasing how her photography business isn’t just about images, it’s about helping people see themselves with kindness. She’s now close to completing the Good Health @Work Bronze Award, using the framework to strengthen her own wellbeing and champion the important role microbusinesses play in supporting healthier communities.

Sharing her experience, Penny commented: “Gail has provided me with information, support, time and much patience, to bring me to the point where I have almost completed the GH@W Bronze Award. I thoroughly applaud and endorse their work to bring greater awareness and understanding of good health in our workplace.”

Gail Jones, GH@W Employer Consultant, commented: “Penny is a fantastic example of how even as a sole trader, you can lead the way in promoting wellbeing and make a real difference in your community. It’s been inspiring to watch her grow in confidence and share her story.”
