How did Get Set UK help?

Yetunde and Mohamed were referred to the Restart Scheme that we deliver on behalf of our partner, Ingeus in our Southwark office, as they were struggling to find employment.

Yetunde Fetuga, aged 53, wanted to improve her confidence and boost her skills to find a job in customer service. Her Employment Advisor, Adama Daramy, created a personalised action plan that included career advice, job search support, CV writing and interview prep techniques and enrolment in our Skills for Work Customer Service course. Yetunde is now looking for a new opportunity as a customer service assistant using her newfound skills and feels more confident applying for roles now that she has completed the course.

Mohamed Kamara joined the Restart Scheme as he felt depressed. He had been applying for jobs for months without success and this was impacting his wellbeing. His Employment Advisor, Aparna Bindu discussed the challenges Mohamed was facing and suggested he apply for a temporary role at the local theatre as a first step towards finding full-time employment. When his contract ended, Mohamed was offered a permanent position at the theatre.
