From day one on the Restart Scheme, delivered by our Southport team on behalf of our partner G4S, Konna Tzigkouras, aged 21, consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic and a positive approach to his journey back into employment. His commitment to learning and willingness to engage fully with the support available made a noticeable impression within the office.
His enthusiasm, professionalism and personality left a mark on both Business Manager Tim Dwyer and Employment Advisor Connor Thomas-Bailey. So, when an Apprentice Business Administrator role opened within the Get Set UK team, they both came to the same conclusion: Konna would be perfect for it.
Konna threw himself into the opportunity, preparing thoroughly, researching Get Set UK in depth, and approaching the interview with the same determination he had shown since day one on the scheme.
It’s not every day that someone journeys from the Restart Scheme into a role within our own organisation, which makes Konna’s story a strong example of how the programme can support people to move forward. The Restart Scheme not only helps individuals take steps back into employment but also provides opportunities for people to develop and demonstrate their skills, strengths, and potential.
