Central London Works | 15 May
Christopher Sweet was referred to the Work and Health – Central London Works programme that we deliver on behalf of our partner Ingeus, as he was struggling with his finances and his confidence due to a bad experience in his last role.
After an initial assessment with his Employment Advisor, Shaza El-Agabani, it became clear that Christopher was struggling with his confidence levels and feeling out of place when applying for jobs.
Shaza created an action plan which included reviewing and updating his CV, preparing him for interviews, and providing him with new interview clothing so he felt confident and looked smart in interviews.
With Christopher’s confidence boosted, he attended an interview where he went on to gain full-time employment. As Chris was struggling with his finances, he was worried about how he would get to work each day so Get Set UK supported him with a full month of travel support which helped him prepare for his other financial requirements.
Shaza El-Agabani, Get Set UK Employment Advisor, commented: “I’m really pleased we were able to support Christopher, especially after issues he had faced in his previous role which caused him a lot of distress and impacted his confidence. He is now much happier in his new job, which makes me smile and is what makes this job so rewarding.”
“I have had amazing support in my pursuit of finding work including a travel pass and clothing for interviews which helped me find work. Shaza and the team go above and beyond through their passionate approach by making sure they are aware of any needs or concerns I had during the job-hunting process. Thank you, Get Set UK, and long may you continue supporting people to achieve their potential.”
