Get Set for Apprenticeship support

At Get Set UK, we’re all about helping people unlock their potential.

Digital Marketing apprentice, Lily Pegrum, had been looking for more opportunities to gain practical experience in her role. To help her progress, Paul Walker, Get Set UK Learning & Development Mentor, arranged additional one-to-one sessions, designed tailored practical tasks, and introduced her to new skills including website creation and basic coding. This personalised support encouraged Lily to step outside her comfort zone and develop fresh, industry-relevant skills.

With Paul’s guidance and Lily’s commitment, she not only boosted her confidence but went on to build a fully functioning website landing page entirely from scratch, an incredible achievement for someone with no prior coding experience.

Lily has now gained valuable hands-on experience and a strong foundation for her future in marketing. She commented:

“Paul gave me extra support with marketing areas not covered during these sessions; I was able to get real hands-on experience building a website from scratch using code, something I had very little experience with before. By the end of the project, I created a new website landing page that not only looked great but worked well too. Paul has played such an important role in helping me build confidence and shape the start of my career in marketing, and I’m truly grateful for everything he’s done.”

We’re incredibly proud of Lily’s progress and grateful to Paul for helping her Get Set for a better tomorrow.
