What was Mazeda’s situation?
Mazeda Khan learned about the JETS programme from her Jobcentre Plus work coach. She had been out of work for about a year due to COVID-19 and was looking for new opportunities. The main objective of the programme is to assist customers who have been unemployed and require tailored assistance in finding long-term employment.
Mazeda met with our advisor, Chelsea, and they discussed the main targets for their upcoming meetings as well as the type of support she required.
How did Get Set UK help?
Mazeda explained what she was doing to find a new job at each appointment and was always happy to receive some new advice and tips. After a few meetings, she stated that she was receiving more responses from various companies for different roles as a result of her tailored CV and the assistance of the employment advisor. During each appointment, the advisor and client would review their action plan and see how far they had come on both ends.
Mazeda was always on time, engaged, and completed all tasks assigned to her.
After three months in the programme, Mazeda and her advisor realised that there were some job opportunities at Get Set UK that would be ideal for her. Mazeda applied for a position as a Junior Employment Advisor and was invited for an interview. She was nervous, but with the help of her advisor, Mazeda gave an excellent interview and received a job offer, which she accepted. She joined the Get Set UK family at the end of April 2022 and is very happy in her new role.
