How did Get Set UK help?

Our Employment Advisor began working with the participant to overcome the obstacles that were preventing her from finding a new and sustainable job. Anna learned how to write a good CV, how to tailor it to the various roles she was applying for and how to impress employers. She expressed a desire to have some assistance in developing her interview skills, as she felt she had enough confidence but was not using the proper techniques to be successful during interviews. The participant demonstrated a strong interest in learning new things and making the most of her time with her advisor and the Get Set UK team. We gave her the opportunity to attend various workshops that provided her with useful advice and tips that would make her a standout employee for any company.

Anna always made sure she completed the tasks assigned to her by James, such as job searching for potential vacancies and adapting her CV to make the most of her applications. Our Employment Advisor always ensured that she fully understood what she was learning and would adapt scenarios that required her to use those skills.

Anna recently found a job and began to work on October 17th, thanks to her determination and the assistance she received from our experts. Her long-term goals are to keep her job, advance up the career ladder, and learn new skills in the childcare industry. We will continue to support her in the future to ensure that no barriers to her employment exist and that no new ones emerge.
