How did Get Set UK help?

The participant had been out of work for more than a year when he met with our Restart Scheme team in Camberwell in February 2022. During his Initial Assessment appointment with our Employment Advisor Michelle, he stated that he was looking for his dream job, and Michelle immediately began looking for suitable opportunities for the client. Michelle discovered a job on the BBC website and discussed it with the participant. She encouraged him to apply for the position of Data Wrangler at BBC Optomen Television. When he was invited to an interview with BBC, the client became nervous.

Michelle spent a significant amount of time preparing the customer for his interview, particularly working on increasing his confidence and controlling his nerves. The interview preparation session helped the client and made him aware of his exceptional skills and abilities. Our customer was successful in his interview with the BBC and began working part-time in March 2022. He was quickly promoted to full-time employment in a different role and is now working on a series in collaboration with Netflix.
