What Skills Will I Gain?

As an apprentice, you’ll develop your skills through a mix of online workshops and personalised one-to-one support with a Get Set UK Learning Development Mentor and specialist trainers, covering:

  • The commercial drivers and processes behind identifying learning needs and solutions.

  • Key theories and models that support effective adult learning and group dynamics.

  • How to measure the impact of learning interventions on participants.

  • The role of L&D in an organisation and how to spot learning needs.

  • How to design, plan, and deliver impactful learning experiences.

What to Expect from
Your Employer.

Your employer must give you the chance to regularly put your learning into practice to help you build real workplace experience and develop the skills, knowledge, and behaviours you need to complete your Apprenticeship.

You will be supported with:

  • Evaluating the impact of learning solutions, measuring effectiveness and business relevance while continuously improving.

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to gather insights and provide feedback that shapes training and learning needs.

  • Tracking learner progress and offering motivational, developmental feedback to support growth.

  • Designing and structuring training resources tailored to meet diverse learning requirements.

  • Facilitating and delivering learning across face-to-face, blended, and digital environments.

  • Creating engaging, inclusive, and effective learning experiences.

Completing Your Apprenticeship.

Every Apprenticeship ends with an End Point Assessment (EPA). This is your chance to show everything you’ve learned, the knowledge, skills, and behaviours you’ve built throughout your training. The EPA is carried out by an independent assessor and may include practical tasks, written tests, or an interview, depending on your Apprenticeship. Successfully passing your EPA proves your competence and earns you a recognised qualification, setting you up for the next stage in your career.
