HR and Learning & Development Apprenticeships
Level 3 HR Support.

HR professionals in this role develop the skills to handle real workplace issues, provide compliant advice, and reduce legal risk. This Apprenticeship covers key areas like analytics, employee relations, and project support through expert-led, hands-on learning.

What Skills Will I Gain?

As an apprentice, you’ll develop your skills through a mix of online workshops and personalised one-to-one support with a Get Set UK Learning Development Mentor and specialist trainers, covering:

  • How to apply HR knowledge practically within their role, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and alignment with organisational goals.

  • HR Systems, tools, and processes used in the organisation, including standards and best practices.

  • HR business priorities and how these influence day-to-day responsibilities.

  • The business, its goals, and how their role supports the company values.

  • Key HR laws relevant to their sector & how they shape internal policies.

  • Features specific to the sector in which the organisation operates in.

  • Policy frameworks and knowing when to seek expert help.

What to Expect from
Your Employer.

Your employer must give you the chance to regularly put your learning into practice to help you build real workplace experience and develop the skills, knowledge, and behaviours you need to complete your Apprenticeship.

You will be supported with:

  • Participating in team projects, cross-functional tasks, and building strong working relationships.

  • Communicating professionally across channels, including handling sensitive conversations.

  • Maintaining HR records, generating reports, and contributing to process improvements.

  • Staying up to date on HR policies, seeking feedback, and engaging in CPD.

  • Supporting real HR queries, using systems, and helping to meet service KPIs.

  • Analysing HR issues, developing solutions, and managing cases.

Completing Your Apprenticeship.

Every Apprenticeship ends with an End Point Assessment (EPA). This is your chance to show everything you’ve learned, the knowledge, skills, and behaviours you’ve built throughout your training. The EPA is carried out by an independent assessor and may include practical tasks, written tests, or an interview, depending on your Apprenticeship. Successfully passing your EPA proves your competence and earns you a recognised qualification, setting you up for the next stage in your career.
