Content creators produce engaging videos, images, and articles to promote brand messages across digital and traditional media using customer research to develop ideas that bring the brand’s personality to life. This creative role prepares apprentices for marketing and media careers across various industries.

Duration: Up to 15 months + 3 month assessment period

What Skills Will I Gain?

As an apprentice, you’ll develop your skills through a mix of online workshops and personalised one-to-one support with a Get Set UK Learning Development Mentor and specialist trainers, covering:

  • Personal and employer responsibilities around data protection, sharing, and the regulations that keep businesses compliant.

  • Using data to choose the right channels, formats, and platforms for content creation.

  • Legal essentials like copyright, GDPR, and web accessibility when using media assets.

  • How to segment and understand target audiences to plan content that connects.

  • How to plan and set budgets to create content efficiently and cost-effectively.

  • The full content production process from concept to delivery.

What to Expect from
Your Employer.

Your employer must give you the chance to regularly put your learning into practice to help you build real workplace experience and develop the skills, knowledge, and behaviours you need to complete your Apprenticeship.

You will be supported with:

  • Understanding brand requirements and following brand guidelines.

  • Writing accessible content tailored for different platforms and devices.

  • Creating mood boards and visual concepts to inspire content.

  • Using data insights to craft content that makes an impact.

  • Developing storyboards and script outlines.

  • Researching ideas to bring briefs to life.

  • Pitching creative ideas with confidence.

Completing Your Apprenticeship.

Every Apprenticeship ends with an End Point Assessment (EPA). This is your chance to show everything you’ve learned, the knowledge, skills, and behaviours you’ve built throughout your training. The EPA is carried out by an independent assessor and may include practical tasks, written tests, or an interview, depending on your Apprenticeship. Successfully passing your EPA proves your competence and earns you a recognised qualification, setting you up for the next stage in your career.
