Connect to Work is a free, voluntary programme that helps people living in Westminster and Kensington & Chelsea facing barriers to employment find suitable work, build confidence and achieve their career goals. Whether you’re currently out of work, living with a health condition or disability, or struggling to stay in employment, we’re here to support you every step of the way.

Delivered by Get Set UK on behalf of Seetec, Connect to Work is a free employment programme commissioned by Central London Forward and funded by the UK Government. Through personalised, one-to-one support, we’ll help you overcome barriers and move towards sustainable employment that’s right for you.

Benefits of joining Connect to Work.

Finding work isn’t always straightforward, especially when life presents additional barriers. That’s why our support starts with getting to know you. No two people are the same, so neither is our support.

Your dedicated Employment Specialist will work alongside you to understand your goals, identify your strengths and create a plan that’s tailored to you. Together, you’ll build your confidence, update your CV, prepare for interviews and find the right job. We’ll provide practical guidance that’s personalised to your circumstances and take positive steps towards employment.

Everyone’s journey is different, which is why we start by getting to know you. We’ll work with you to understand the challenges you’re experiencing and take the time to understand your goals, skills and interests before creating a personalised plan that’s tailored to your needs. Whether you’re looking for your first job, returning to work or changing direction, we’ll help you take the next step with confidence.

2. Close to home.

Our service is delivered in the heart of your community, making it easier to access the help you need. Meet with us in local venues across Westminster and Kensington & Chelsea, where you’ll receive friendly, face-to-face guidance in a familiar setting. By bringing our services closer to you, we make it easier to stay connected, keep progressing and fit appointments around your daily life.

We’ll introduce you to employers who value talent, potential and diversity. From identifying suitable vacancies to preparing for interviews, we’ll be by your side throughout the recruitment process, helping you feel ready to take the next step into work.

What’s the eligibility criteria?

If you are aged 18 or over, live in Westminster or Kensington & Chelsea and have a disability or health condition, face barriers to employment, or are currently in work but struggling to keep your job, we’re here to help. You may be eligible if you experience any of the following barriers to employment:

  • Have a disability, long-term health condition or mental health condition

  • Are a carer or former carer

  • Have experience of the care system

  • Are homeless or at risk of homelessness

  • Are a veteran, reservist or part of an Armed Forces family

  • Are a refugee or have arrived in the UK through a resettlement scheme

  • Have a history of drug or alcohol dependency, or experience of the criminal justice system

  • Have experienced domestic abuse, modern slavery or serious violence
