What Skills Will I Gain?

As an apprentice, you’ll develop your skills through a mix of online workshops and personalised one-to-one support with a Get Set UK Learning Development Mentor and specialist trainers, covering:

  • Keep up to date with external factors like market trends, policy change regulations, and supply chain challenges – and how they impact the business.

  • Manage internal and external stakeholders, clients or suppliers and their different relationships within the organisation.

  • Managing everyday business principles such as handling finances, change in the workplace and leading projects.

  • Regulations, legislation, and codes of practice that impact their role and the organisation including EDI.

  • The organisations processes, internal policies and key business policies relating to the sector.

  • The organisations purpose, aims, values and vision for the future.

What to Expect from
Your Employer.

Your employer must give you the chance to regularly put your learning into practice to help you build real workplace experience and develop the skills, knowledge, and behaviours you need to complete your Apprenticeship.

You will be supported with:

  • Building and maintaining positive relationships within the organisation.

  • Taking responsibility for managing priorities and completing tasks.

  • Making effective decisions and dealing with challenges.

  • Using multiple IT systems relevant to the organisation.

  • Demonstrating strong communication skills.

  • Creating accurate records and documents.

  • Completing tasks to a high standard.

Completing Your Apprenticeship.

Every Apprenticeship ends with an End Point Assessment (EPA). This is your chance to show everything you’ve learned, the knowledge, skills, and behaviours you’ve built throughout your training. The EPA is carried out by an independent assessor and may include practical tasks, written tests, or an interview, depending on your Apprenticeship. Successfully passing your EPA proves your competence and earns you a recognised qualification, setting you up for the next stage in your career.
