What was Najib’s situation?
Najib Elkhattabi, aged 39, joined the Restart Scheme in late July after being unemployed for over a year. Najib has had previous experience in a variety of technical and managerial posts and had his future career path planned out, but his main barrier was struggling to find the best way to proceed with it, around also caring for his family.
How did Get Set UK help?
Nida Husain, one of Get Set’s Employment Advisors, supported him by reviewing his CV and tailoring it to the sectors he wanted to find employment in. Throughout Najib’s journey, Nida signposted him to live vacancies, suitable for his skills and aspirations. After being on the programme for just over 3 months, Najib secured a job working as a full-time Bus Driver.
