How did Get Set UK help?

The participant is a full-time mother who was affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. When she first joined the programme, she stated that she was interested in the Health and Beauty Industry and had received training to provide Eyelash and Eyebrow Treatments, with plans to start her own self-employed business. During the initial meeting, our Employment Advisor deduced that the client’s only barrier was a lack of knowledge about how to write a business plan and pursue self-employment.

Our expert Angel from our Crawley office decided to book the client for a 1-2-1 session with Momentic to learn more about self-employment and specific promotional techniques, as well as to assist her in completing an online course in Social Media Marketing. At the moment, the participant is working to refine her business plan and marketing activities in preparation for her Gateway Meeting in October and to begin trading. She has worked very hard in the last few months and has shown incredible enthusiasm, and she recently stated that she will continue to develop her business and plans to expand her treatments to include Nail and Aesthetic treatments. We will continue to assist her with her intentions for progression through pre-employment and In-Work support.
