Steven’s success story.

Steven Kerr, aged 35, joined the Restart Scheme following a referral from his local Job Centre. After being made redundant from his previous retail role, he had been seeking employment for over a year. Facing numerous challenges in his job search combined with gaps in his employment history, Steven had lost his confidence and motivation.

With personalised support from his Employment Advisor, Justin Oduro, including creating a new CV, interview prep workshops and access to job placements through Get Set UK’s partner employers, Steven secured a new role as Assistant Manager at Octavia.

Looking ahead, Steven now aims to develop his leadership skills within Octavia and explore opportunities for career development. He plans to continue his professional development with the training and networking opportunities provided through the Restart Scheme.
