How did Get Set UK help?

When our Employment Advisor Ayisha first met the participant in our Crawley office, she recognised that he was facing a number of challenges, including a lack of confidence as a result of being made redundant from his previous job. With the assistance of our expert, the client began working on his CV and cover letter, which were inadequate to secure some interviews. He demonstrated incredible energy and a strong desire to learn additional skills and find a new long-term job. He always finished the tasks assigned to him prior to his appointment and always arrived on time or informed the Employment Advisor in advance if he had to reschedule due to an interview. After a few weeks, the candidate gained confidence and improved his interview skills, and he decided to begin applying for cabin crew positions.

The client was invited to an interview with British Airways and was successful in obtaining long-term employment as a Cabin Crew member, with training beginning in September 2022. He recently told our Employment Advisor that he wants to advance within British Airways to become a team leader or manager and fly internationally. Our expert will continue to assist the candidate, calling him every two weeks. We will also help him with his first month’s travel expenses and the purchase of some uniform items, such as shoes, that may not be covered by British Airways.
