Our no-cost, fully funded Skills Bootcamp is designed to help you build up valuable cyber security skills and provide you with the practical and technical knowledge needed to help you find a job in the digital sector.
You don’t need any experience to join a course and you are guaranteed a job interview with an employer once you complete the course. So, whether you want to kickstart your career as a Cyber Security Manager, Information Security Analyst or Security Engineer or improve your existing skillset, the Skills Bootcamp in Cyber Security is a great way to build up valuable sector-specific skills.

of a Skills Bootcamp.
Skills Bootcamps run over 12-weeks and the interactive programme uses a combination of tutor-led workshops, 1:1 coaching and support sessions, e-learning content and self-study as well as promoting collaborative peer-to-peer engagement. The course has been co-designed with employers to give you real-life industry campaign experience.
At the end of the programme, you will have a portfolio of work examples and a presentation to deliver to prospective employers at your guaranteed interview. You will also have prepared a learning impact statement to detail the knowledge and skills you have developed throughout the Skills Bootcamp.

If you’re interested in a career in Cyber Security, this specialist course will equip you with practical and technical knowledge in cyber threats, risk management, data hacking and more. The Skills Bootcamp for Cyber Security covers key content modules, delivered by employers, employability experts and business owners.

Core cyber security, core terminology, consequences & implications.

Cyber threat intelligence, threats, exploits, risks, vulnerabilities and intelligence life cycle.

Malicious software, social engineering, and how malicious software works.

Cyber security testing, mitigations, how to reduce or remove security vulnerabilities.

Cyber security frameworks and how to apply, plus cyber security controls.

Incident postmortem, incident response lifecycle and ISO standards.

Design, build and implement employer projects using a range of cyber security techniques.

Employability support throughout the training programme and up to 6 months afterwards.

Q. How much does the Skills Bootcamp cost?
A. The Skills Bootcamps are completely free, as they are funded by the Department of Education (Dfe).

Q. Am I guaranteed a job at the end of it?
A. We can only guarantee a job interview.

Q. How many days a week is the Skills Bootcamp?
A. The course is over two days a week from 9:00am to 2:30pm for 12 consecutive weeks.

Q. Do we have exams throughout the course?
A. Yes, depending on what Skills Bootcamp you are on, you will have exams to complete throughout.

Q. Where is the location of the course?
A. The course is all remote and will be held over Microsoft Teams for the duration of the programme.

Q. Are the sessions recorded?
A. Yes, certain parts of the sessions are recorded and are sent to you by the tutor via Microsoft Teams.

Q. Can I leave the session halfway through if necessary?
A. Yes, as long as you make the tutor aware so they can send you the session overview.
