Our Skills Bootcamp is a fully funded, part-time course designed to give you the skills, knowledge and confidence to step into a care role. You don’t need any previous experience, just the motivation to learn and make a difference.
Delivered face-to-face, 2-3 days a week (9:30am–2:30pm), this flexible course fits around school hours and gives you practical, real-world knowledge aligned to what employers are looking for in the care sector.
You’ll gain an Emergency First Aid Certificate, a Mental Health First Aid Certificate, a Moving and Handling Awareness Certificate, and cover units from the City & Guilds Level 3 Preparing to Work in Adult Care.

The care role – understand responsibilities and what working in care involves.
Communication – develop skills to communicate clearly and handle information in a care setting.
Safeguarding – recognise and respond to signs of harm or abuse.
Person-centred care – deliver care based on individual needs and preferences.
Health and safety – work safely and understand risks in care environments.
Moving and handling – learn safe techniques and use of equipment.
Mental health awareness – understand dementia, learning disabilities and wellbeing.
First aid – respond to emergencies and support individuals in crisis.

Yes, depending on what Skills Bootcamp you are on, you will have exams to complete throughout.
