When Participant A, a single parent, joined the Restart Scheme at our Walthamstow office, delivered in partnership with Maximus UK, they were focused on returning to work and building a more secure future for their child.

With the dedicated support of Greeshma Thalappil Kalam, Employment Advisor at Get Set UK, they received a personalised plan designed around their goals and circumstances. Together, they worked on updating their CV and cover letter, practising job applications, and joining our in-office Job Club sessions to boost their confidence and skills.

They also attended our Childcare Support Workshop, where they learned about the childcare options available to help them balance work and family life. All that hard work paid off as they’ve now started a fantastic new role as a Passenger Assistant at London City Airport.
