Get Set for Prison Careers Information, Advice and Guidance services.

Programme | 01 April 2025

We’re proud to announce the launch of our Prison Careers Information, Advice and Guidance (CIAG) programme, awarded by the Ministry of Justice UK (MoJ). This four-year contract will see Get Set UK become the largest CIAG provider across England’s prisons , delivering expert career advice to prisoners in London and the East of England.

Our inclusive careers service will form part of a co-ordinated approach to reduce reoffending, involving multiple delivery partners. Together, we aim to enable individuals to attain qualifications, develop skills and gain work experience leading to sustainable employment on release.

🔹Empowering career goals – whether it’s gaining new skills, boosting confidence, or planning for the future, we provide tailored advice to help individuals map out their Education, Skills, and Work pathway.
🔹Employer-led insights – our in-prison employer events introduce individuals to the job market, giving them direct exposure to industries and career opportunities.
🔹Peer mentoring programme – working in partnership with St Giles Trust, we provide support and opportunities for prisoners to train as Peer Mentors.
🔹Pathways to employment – from creating a CV to preparing for job interviews, we equip individuals with the tools they need to take their next step into work.

Thomas Harley FIEP FRSA, CEO at Get Set UK commented: “From today, Get Set UK has become the largest CIAG provider in prisons across England. Through this new four-year contract, we will support thousands of people in prisons across London and the East of England in rebuilding their confidence, enhancing their skills, and working towards achieving their aspirations. Evidence clearly shows that education reduces reoffending and increases the chances of securing employment after release. Starting this week, our dedicated team of CIAG experts will provide high-quality, personalised career advice to support each individual’s needs.”

We’re helping prisoners build brighter futures through expert guidance, employer connections, and quality career advice that is personalised to the individual’s needs.

Get Set for opportunities.
